When the outlaw Casey O'Donnell steals $10,000 from the railroad, the townsfolk of Prospect Creek turn against his honest sons, Ryan and Alexander. Later, however, their status restored, Ryan is appointed deputy sheriff. Then Casey returns, claiming he didn't steal the money, and Ryan sets out to uncover the truth. But with the discredited railroad man Hudson Gilmore and a gun-toting US marshal on Casey's trail, the mission tests his family loyalty to the limit.
