Publisher's Synopsis
Spectre, Anya, and Fyra are on the run after escaping a repressive regime called Unity. Spectre possesses strange healing powers due to nanobots, causing him to fear becoming a monster.
After saving a rebel from death, Spectre becomes a beacon of hope ("Healer") and a potential weapon ("Life-Eater"). Whispers of his abilities attract the Echoes, a mysterious group, and the ruthless Dr. Voss from Unity who wants to control him.
Spectre and Anya receive a message from the Sanctuary, a haven for outcasts, but approach it cautiously, aware of potential dangers. They may use their situation to their advantage and fight back against Unity.
