The War of the Worlds. Coming from Mars, dangerous invaders land on planet Earth. Their spaceships are tripods with heat rays that destroy a good segment of the British army sent to fight against them. They press on towards London, creating enormous population displacement and casualties. As refugees struggle to flee England to France, they are cut off by tripod machines which are subsequently destroyed by the Navy.
