Publisher's Synopsis

Tom Davis (Lone Eagle) is leaving the Apaches. He has lived with them ten years, the last five years as a warrior. Ussen (God) has told him to warn the people of Tucson of a raid. Then he is to go home to his real family. He escapes Victorio by crossing in front of what may be the largest buffalo herd left in America. He is almost killed when he comes to a troop of cavalry outside Tucson. He is asked to train Troop 9 so they may be able to survive the coming Indian Wars. He meets Ira and Cowboy and they form a partnership. They face Indians, outlaws, drought, floods, and an evil gang leader. Tom becomes marshal of Sante Fe. He returns to his fatheras ranch and finds everyone alive and well. They discover a plot to kill all the ranchers so the leader of the gang can rule the land. Tom faces overwhelming odds. He must stop the outlaws and save his family.
