Publisher's Synopsis
Lucy and Tim Tillman were traveling west with their parents in a wagon train when they were attacked by Indians and everyone was murdered except Lucy and Tim who hid a box under the wagon. They were rescued by a sheriff who came to investigate the fire. Lucy and Tim decided to work the land their father had purchased. They survived drought, locusts; fire and murder, but never gave up.
