In the mid-15th century Sir Thomas Malory wrote the now famous "Morte D'Arthur" while he was in prison. Foss has reinterpreted Malory's work in this book, in a retelling of the stories surrounding King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. He "becomes" Malory in order to see the tales afresh.
