Publisher's Synopsis

The XVIII congress of diving and hyperbaric medicine was held in the catholic university of Buenos Aires, Argentina from the 2nd to the 6th on December, 2014. The congress included 2-day pre-course sessions on diving and a 3-day plenary session that included a symposium of wound healing in association with the Wound Healing Society of Argentina. More than 500 physicians and other health care professionals, scientists, divers, and general interested public participated in this 5-day event. There were 26 countries represented.

This book presents the conferences related to clinical application of hyperbaric oxygen and the posters accepted for publication. The conferences are separated in different thematic sessions. Much in the way Dr. Boerema planned the first congress of this series, many participant presenters were specifically invited by the scientific committee. This systematic selection of authors intended that the material contained in this book represents an overview as complete as possible of the scientific thinking round the world about the clinical use of Hyperbaric Oxygen in 2014.
