Publisher's Synopsis

Sci-fi action triple. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren star in the original film, 'Universal Soldier' (1992), as Luc Devereux and Andrew Scott, two soldiers who were killed in action in Vietnam, then frozen and resurrected as robotic killing machines. They form part of an elite corps of anti-terrorist Androids, but when they are sent to murder investigative reporter Veronica Roberts (Ally Walker), Devereaux rebels and refuses to comply with his orders. In 'Universal Soldier 2: Brothers in Arms' (1998), top-secret military organisation UniSol has discovered the way to create the perfect soldier: kill the subject and then reanimate them as an emotionless machine. Luc Devereaux (Matt Battaglia) is a Unisol recruit who discovers what is happening, and together with journalist Veronica Roberts (Chandra West) he sets out to expose the organisation. However he faces many dangers, not least the attentions of the hostile mission leader (Gary Busey). When Luc is captured by UniSol, it is up to Veronica to infiltrate the agency and set him free. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren reprise their roles from the first film in the 2009 sequel, 'Universal Soldier: Regeneration'. A terrorist group has employed two state-of-the-art UniSol fighters (Lundgren and Andrei Arlovski) to seize power of the crippled Chernobyl nuclear reactor, and is threatening to unleash a deadly radioactive cloud if its terms are not met. Can ex-UniSol Luc Deveraux (Van Damme) possibly be a match for these virtually indestructible warriors? The fate of humankind hangs in the balance as the ultimate showdown unfolds.
