Something has woken Lon, a boy on the Starlight spaceship, even though the rest of the crew remain in stasis, but what he finds is the stuff of nightmares--Pandora, a human child modified to interface with computers and a tool of the race of vampires called Lamprey, has attached tubes to all the other humans and is draining their blood to feed her masters, and Lon and the ship's computer must find a way to save them all before it is. too late.
