Publisher's Synopsis

Sheila Shelton, a midwife, and Dawn Aceituno, a medical transcriptionist, came to author this book out of the sheer determination that what was so precious would not be lost, would not be forgotten. Fr. Dwyer would say, "There is no one more dead than a priest...unless it's a Bishop." We set out to prove him wrong. We gathered the memories from many of the people whose lives Father had changed, gathered the handwritten notes of the classes he had taught so effectively, and set out on the daunting task of putting it all on paper. This book was written in hospital waiting rooms, at kitchen tables covered with children's homework, in coffee shops and restaurants, in the earliest hours of the morning and late at night. Whoever holds this book in their hands holds love, kindness, laughter and wisdom.
