Publisher's Synopsis
Addressing the failing criminal justice system in Britain, this work opens with the absence of a modus operandi within the criminal justice system, as a result of which the system is increasingly seen as lacking in justice and doing very little, either to tackle the cases of crime, or catch the criminals. Building on examples of best practice from the realities of policing, education, probation and prison work, the book suggests how we might encourage the development of a better criminal justice system, aimed at making communities safe for a fraction of the costs currently spent.
