Suzy Mallard is the first to own a fancy new Feeder Finder, boosting her status among the backyard critters. With Suzy's leadership and direction, most of the critters use their own FeederFinders to find their food and be alerted when nearby predators, RC Hawk, Cooper Hawk, and Smiley Gator, enter their area. Parents rest easy knowing that these great devices provide a helpful tool for teaching as it keeps an eye on their children. Life in the backyard seems so much easier and filled with conveniences.
Yet, what happens to those, like their beloved teacher, Mr. Jay, who do not trust the new devices and prefer the old ways of living? How will the critters respond when some of them disappear? Will the critters be able to keep their community together, or will some be
forced to leave?
This is the first of three FeederFinder stories. Backyard Tales are straight-forward allegorical books and short stories that help grownups and children connect to creation and each other when they read the stories and venture outside to meet the "characters" for themselves. Each one contains a "Connecting to Creation" section of information, activities, and conversation starters. Spending special times with loved ones becomes a way to create
everlasting memories and record them in these little books.
