Publisher's Synopsis

Triple bill of romantic comedies. In 'When Harry Met Sally' (1989), Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) first meet as students, when they share a disagreeable drive from Chicago to New York. Over the course of the next ten years they keep bumping into each other at various intervals, which generally seem to coincide with one of them having an emotional trauma. Will their platonic relationship turn into something more? Rob Reiner's hugely successful romantic comedy features Meg Ryan infamously faking an orgasm in a Manhattan deli. In 'Thelma and Louise' (1991), waitress Louise (Susan Sarandon) persuades her friend Thelma (Geena Davis) to escape her abusive husband and join her on a road trip. When they stop off at a country bar, Louise ends up saving Thelma from an attempted rape - shooting and killing the rapist in the process - and the women consequently find themselves forced to go on the run. Along the way their money is stolen by a handsome cowboy (Brad Pitt) and they begin holding up convenience stores, feeling strangely liberated by their newfound assertiveness. Harvey Keitel co-stars as the detective who attempts to talk the heroines into giving themselves up. In 'Overboard' (1987), arrogant heiress Joanna Stayton (Goldie Hawn) lands herself in a heap of trouble when she falls overboard during a cruise with her husband. She is rescued by handyman Dean Proffitt (Kurt Russell), a single parent in desperate need of help with his four obnoxious kids, and as Joanna has lost her memory, she is in no position to object when he claims her as his wife.
