Publisher's Synopsis
The traditions we live under as Americans have been altered from their original state. As new generations are born under the altered traditions, we lose our ability to remain true to the original freedoms and understandings that created the United States of America. Our government has taken advantage of our trust; has taken advantage of the fact we no longer know how it should operate; has taken advantage of our pursuit of happiness. We have devolved into a society that places more trust and faith in the government than our fellow citizens, but this country was founded to be different. This country put the power of the government into the hands of the governed; the government has convinced the people to give their rights back to the government. It is understanding how we arrived to this point that we can understand who our enemy is and who our friend is: our government is not now, nor has it ever been, our friend.
