The conflict between society's "Haves" and "Have-nots" is not based on race, sex, religion or other excuses provided by men and women with agendas. It is based on each person's ability to master knowledge & technology, then profit from it. Many Americans are not given equal opportunity to acquire that knowledge--but that is a political decision made by our elected representatives. Since they are chosen by us, "we the people" share the blame. The same technology that changed all our lives and created so much wealth can and will be taken away in the blink of an eye, thereby turning the world upside down in an instant. This story is about life after technology and how it will affect everyday Americans. The story is fiction but the outcome could be inevitable. Those who now rule may very well become the ruled.
