Publisher's Synopsis
Winter approaches in Newcastle. Thalía Leveillé is a psychiatrist in training. Her first case is Vera Gibbons, a 16-year-old rescued from a basement where she claims she saw demons. Because Vera is American, FBI Agent Andrew Carter is sent to investigate. He brings puzzling information: details of her abduction coincide with murder cases from different countries, across different decades. Intrigued, Thalía is moved to find the truth about the demons Vera saw. The head of the hospital where Vera is recovering, Dr. Mara Sanders, is also on the case, and very much on Thalía's case, as well!In the partnership that arises between her and Agent Carter, Thalía will need to acknowledge her own weaknesses. Will she be strong enough to face her own demons? Or might the truth be so dark that it could take her down, too?
