Publisher's Synopsis
The book Women Preachers is a defense of women in ministry and a refutation of the position that women should remain silent in the church. The book Women Preachers takes a theological approach to women's role in the church. Specifically, the addresses how God's impartiality and God's design for the male-female purposes manifests itself in the church. The book also makes an exegetical study of the most pertinent passages, such as 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-13. Additionally, the book Women Preachers provides two examples of women who participated in active public ministry in the first century. After much thoughtful debate, the book Women Preachers provides solid biblical evidence that women were always active in preaching and teaching and they continue to do so in the church today. The evidence that supports women participating in public ministry in the church is overwhelming and the church, at large, needs to come to terms with this issue and restore half of God's saints to their rightful place in the Christian assembly.
