Publisher's Synopsis
Our acaryas such as Jiva Gosvami, Sanatana Gosvami and Visvanatha Cakravarti have given extensive commentaries on the prayers of the personified Vedas, since those prayers refute the idea that Upani?ads present the supreme Brahman as impersonal. Prabhodananda Sarasvati gives a completely different interpretation of the verses. Since the Upani?ads became gopis, he gives the meaning of the verses in terms of madhurya rasa, as spoken by those Upani?ad-gopis. He also gives a meaning according to the eternal gopis.
