Publisher's Synopsis
It is ten years after disaster at the Battle of Camlann, when King Arthur and most of his knights perished. One of the few survivors is Budoc, now a hermit and guardian of the Sacred Wood by the sea.
His peace is disturbed by Irish pirates - raiders in search of plunder, and also a magical chalice once owned by Arthur himself, a chalice believed to confer the sovereignty of Britain on its possessor.
