Publisher's Synopsis
John Carter is mysteriously transported to Mars, where he falls in with the Tharks, a tribe of nomadic warriors. He befriends the chief, and the Tharks capture the princess of Helium, a member of the Martian race. Carter rescues her from the Tharks and finds himself entrapped in a world of alien politics.
